"The Gossamer Trail"
24" x 18" oil/canvas
The Gossamer Trail has quite a history, which began almost as soon as it was finished:
This piece was one of a very few select paintings to be juried into the inaugural "Wildscapes" show at the
Bennington Center for the Arts in Bennington VT (2016)
In addition, in 2017 this piece was also juried into the Society of Animal Artists Annual show, and subsequently chosen for that show's national tour. It was displayed in numerous Museum venues across the U.S.
It was also displayed as a part of the Oil Painters of America 2018 Eastern regional exhibit at Mc Bride Gallery in Annapolis MD.
In the beautiful island town of Nantucket, when the sun shines through the water off the docks, it imparts a beautiful transparent greenish glow. This lovely jellyfish with it's sinuous lines provides a perfect contrast to the linear components of the dock.
