The setting is Mystic Seaport. High in the loft of one of their storage buildings are coils of line, and blocks hanging from the rafters, colored with the patina of time. As the sun sets and creates dramatic lighting, the barn owl emerges - as does the mouse. She sees him - will she be able to capture her dinner in time?  This piece was displayed at the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport as part of the prestigious 39th Annual International Marine Art Exhibition , and also at the Principle Gallery in Charleston SC for the International Guild of Realism Annual Exhibit in 2020, and  the Society of Animal Artists Show, "Wild Animals of North America" at the Customs House Museum in Clarksville TN. ,.
