The common little horned toad is a gentle lizard. In this portrait, he is sitting in the sun, fading out in the brightness. It really makes you almost feel the heat of the desert in the middle of a hot summer day.  

This piece was included in the Society of Animal Artists 2020 members special exhibit, and displayed at the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in Oradell NJ.
