Our smallest falcon, the Kestrel is also one of the most beautiful. I spied this brave little bird sitting on top of a scrubby bush one day. He was silhouetted against the sky most perfectly, and I was able to observe him & take some photos for about 3 minutes ( a very long time for most birds to stay still).
